TRANSforming the Carolinas is a research study being conducted in North Carolina and South Carolina. The purpose of this research study is to understand what gets in the way of HIV prevention and care for transgender people of color and to find the best ways to make it easier to get HIV services. The study has four main components:
- Policy assessment
- Focus groups
This project is part of “Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America;” a ten-year initiative to reduce new HIV infections by 90% by 2030. Check out the Resources Page to learn more about the initiative.
If you are a transgender person of color and at least 18 years old, we want to hear from you! You can take our survey or join us for a focus group in one of the study cities!
We will host several focus groups throughout North Carolina and South Carolina to share project results and obtain additional feedback. Stay tuned for a more information!
